Drawing on the fields of architecture, landscape planning, theatre, fine art and graphic design, Liz Burow specializes in designs that consider the relationship between nature and the constructed world.

Art work:
Liz’s art is developed in series, and centers around certain themes and materials dealing with ideas of softness, indoor space verses outdoor space, nature and the constructed world. All textiles are constructed by hand, or sewing machine and are original works of art. While being shown in a gallery, her work can be viewed and purchased through gallery representation, or viewed on-line and purchased by contacting the artist directly at liz@lizburow.com.

Design work:
Liz works with clients to design interiors projects and to realize custom textiles and surfaces for a variety of spaces including large public venues as well as intimate private settings. Venues like theater interiors, restaurants/bars, hospitality corporate offices, and private residences are examples of the kinds of spaces Liz has worked with to realize a variety of custom textile designs.

Liz works with clients directly to realize custom art work. The development of this work is collaborative, and involves input from the client and other stake holders involved in the development of the space. With her background in leading complex architectural projects, Liz is able to work closely with architects and designers in considering the cost, materiality, fabrication techniques and acoustic properties of the custom instillation.
