Liz earned her masters in architecture from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, and her bachelor of arts in architecture from Washington University in St Louis, Missouri. She currently teaches design studios at the Parsons School of Design and Management and has previously taught at Cornell University as a teaching associate and as a visiting critic at Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, LA, Temple University, Philadelphia, PA, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA. Liz previously worked as an architectural designer and project manager at Snohetta in New York, where she collaborated on designing the architecture, interiors and landscape of large cultural projects, including the World Trade Center Memorial Pavilion at Ground Zero. Liz has also worked as a designer for the Renzo Piano Building Workshop in Genova, Italy, Wendy Evans Joseph Architecture in New York, NY, MY studio in Cambridge, MA and PGAV in St. Louis, MO. Her professional experience includes set designs for theater and opera, interior and branding designs for the hospitality and entertainment sectors, and graphic design. Liz currently has an art/design practice, Burlix Studio, located at the Invisible Dog in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. She is originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, and currently lives in Brooklyn, New York.
